Lately the changes in your return policy are too restrictive

The only reason I get most of my materials from you is because you have a good selection of the products I use and am looking for. But you have made it to difficult for me to make returns on the things that I don’t want to keep on hand after the job I did is complete. Your return policy has changed and not for the good. I run a tight budget and I need to be able to return the products that I have either over bought or don’t have an immediate use for. It’s become necessary in this economic environment to keep my costs down because I am working on a limited budget. If you can’t return a new intact product in the packaging and then purchase something that you need now then I am going to have to reconsider the purchases I make from this store. I was under the impression that Pro accounts had at least one year to return their product purchases. I don’t always have the receipt because often times I put it in my pocket and after a day of sweating it becomes a little ball of wet paper that is illegible. You should be catering to your pro customers like they were golden. I’m not sure what caused this reevaluation of your return policy but it seems like it only hurts your most loyal and valuable customers. The commercial pros. I really need a foolproof method for me to exchange or refund my product purchases quickly and without any hassle. The policy should be just like you have on your Husky Tools. No hassles. Just a quick solution. I’m not asking for money back and if you give me a store credit you are guaranteed that I’ll spend money in the future and the same day in most cases and I will probably even spend more money than just the amount of my return credit. I’m not sure if it’s just an industry thing or possibly something that only happens in retail goods but I have half of my garage filled with stuff off previous jobs that I don’t want or need but if I could bring it back and get the value in credit to use for the next job I would appreciate that. I’m just a small business and I don’t have a ton of money to hold onto extra stuff that would benefit someone who is using the same thing I am returning.

Came in to the store just now to return two parts to an automatic door closer on a residential unit. Assistant manager said he could not help me unless I had the online account number. Both parts together was just over $10. I know times are hard, but to keep the two parts that I paid for and not give me the part that I need is ridiculous. Shopping at Menards moving forward.

The associates that work at this store are a joke and lazy and harass people on a daily basis. You're thinking what does management do? Ha good ? NOTHING! The management is an even bigger joke than the people they employ. I would avoid this store at all costs. Go to Lowe's!

The customer service lady was very friendly and helpful but the cashier lady unfortunately was rude at the you scan she took the item from my husband and scanned it, and stood next to him with her arms crossed as if we were going to steal the item. It made me very uncomfortable. It makes me not want to shop in there. I’m not a thief my husband‘s not a thief, you don’t have to stand next to somebody with your arms crossed as close as you can like we’re gonna run out with some stupid markers If we was going to steal something it sure as the hell wouldn’t be Home Depot and it sure wouldn’t be some stupid markers

Had a really wonderful experience!! Tanya helped me check out and noticed I was starting a little garden and she gave me tons of super helpful tips and tricks! I’ve never had a garden before so it was soooo incredibly helpful and appreciated!!
